1. Purpose and status
These standards describe the intended behavioural baseline for K1ND’s platform, pilots and moderated communities. They support product and safeguarding design but do not themselves grant access to a service that has not yet launched.
Detailed platform terms, appeals procedures, age rules and enforcement protocols will be published before any live public service or controlled pilot begins.
2. What belongs on K1ND
Sport includes emotion, rivalry, humour, criticism and disagreement. Members should be able to say that a performance was poor, a tactical decision was wrong or a team disappointed them.
The line is crossed when sporting opinion becomes targeted degradation, intimidation, discrimination, sexual abuse, stalking, exposure of personal information or a credible safety risk.
3. Prohibited content and conduct
K1ND is intended to block, restrict or escalate content and behaviour including:
- hate speech, slurs, discriminatory abuse and dehumanising comparisons;
- credible threats, wishes of death or serious harm, incitement and glorification of violence;
- sexual harassment, sexualised abuse, coercion and non-consensual intimate imagery;
- targeted harassment, repeated fixation, dogpiling or coordinated abuse;
- publication of addresses, telephone numbers, hotels, travel movements, family details, schools, medical information or other safeguarding-sensitive data;
- impersonation, manipulated media intended to harass, and deceptive AI-generated content;
- gambling-related targeting, accusations or abuse directed at players, officials or their families;
- attempts to evade moderation through spacing, symbols, images, coded language or repeated account creation;
- content that exploits, sexualises, grooms or otherwise endangers a child.
4. Pre-publication moderation outcomes
Depending on risk, context and confidence, a draft may be:
- allowed where it is legitimate sporting discussion;
- interrupted with exactly four choices: rewrite with AI, rewrite yourself, cancel, or send for enhanced moderation;
- hard blocked where the content is clearly prohibited or creates serious risk;
- held privately for enhanced human moderation, with no public visibility before approval.
There is no “post anyway” route for content classified as warning, review or blocked.
5. Verification and accountability
Verification is an accountability layer, not proof that a person is safe. Public pseudonyms may be permitted, but the platform may require an appropriate identity or age-assurance process before publishing rights are granted.
Account sharing, verification fraud, identity misuse, account takeover and attempts to return after restriction may result in additional checks or loss of access.
6. Children and younger users
Age-appropriate design, parental or guardian controls, contact restrictions and enhanced safeguarding rules will apply before under-18 participation is enabled. Adults must not use K1ND to initiate inappropriate contact with a child or to exploit a power imbalance.
7. Reporting and safeguarding
Prevention will not be perfect. Reporting should preserve relevant content and context while minimising the burden on the person affected. Serious concerns may lead to account restrictions, evidence preservation, safeguarding review, platform referral or contact with law enforcement or emergency services where legally justified.
8. Fairness, mistakes and appeals
Moderation systems can make mistakes, particularly across languages, dialects, reclaimed language, satire and fast-changing cultural context. Human review, reason codes, testing and proportionate appeal routes form part of the intended governance model.
9. Changes and future rules
These standards will develop through safeguarding review, player feedback, legal assessment and testing. More detailed service rules will take priority when a live service or pilot launches.
